Scooter LaForge presented the most bizarrely compelling and ultimately correct installation at Krause Gallery earlier tonight featuring downtown denizens and ultra cool kidz Rachel Singer, Jonathan Federico, Jeffrey Ralston & Valentine as aliens being operated on by LaForge outside on the street in an inflatable alien tanning bed bubble. It was sublime. The perfect thing to stumble upon on a muggy NYC night in search of an answer to that eternal question of the creative. What. Is. Next? I’m not sure, but it’s pretty certain that Mr. LaForge completely represents what is happening. Now. And very correctly might I add.
